2015 Arena Football Season Predictions

Arena Football 2015 is almost here and the excitement is real. Although it will take place without 3 of its storied teams; the season will still be a great one. So with just days away to the start of the year, heres a look at how I think the season will go down.

National Conference

West

1. Arizona 13-5

2. LA KISS 10-8

3. Las Vegas Outlaws 3-15

Pacific

1. San Jose 14-4

2. Portland 10-8

3. Spokane 4-14

American Conference

East

1. Philadelphia 12-6

2. Cleveland 9-9

3. New Orleans 5-13

South

1. Jacksonville 16-2

2. Orlando 11-7

3. Tampa Bay 10-8

Its very obvious that the Rattlers are the team to beat in the AFL, but Jacksonville has been on a tear in the offseason signing multiple all arena players, including Tommy Grady and Derrick Ross. They’re going to be very explosive in ’15. As far as the Gladiators are concerned, losing the talent they had last year when they were 19-1 will hurt a lot in 2015, and in the end, I cant picture them winning 6 games on the last play of the game again this year. The Spokane Shock are also interesting: they have lost almost everybody from the team that went to the NC Championship two years ago. They will have a rough year in 2015. Heres how I see the playoffs:

National Conference

1. San Jose

4. LA KISS

2. Arizona

3. Portland

American Conference

1. Jacksonville

4. Tampa Bay

2. Philadelphia

3. Orlando

San Jose 64 LA KISS 47

Portland 54 Arizona 49

San Jose 44 Portland 40

Jacksonville 77 Tampa Bay 42

Philadelphia 49 Orlando 43

Jacksonville 57 Philadelphia 42

I was not joking when I said Portland will beat Arizona; they were the only team in last years playoffs that really challenged the Rattlers. There will be no other surprises in the playoffs. Jacksonville will face San Jose in Arena Bowl XXVIII. Tommy Grady vs Eric Meyer for the Jim Foster trophy; two of the leagues top quarterbacks will duke it out for the crown. Rallying from 19 down in the 4th; the Jacksonville Sharks win their second title in 4 years and bring the Foster trophy back to Florida.
