Last season the New Orleans Voodoo struggled to a 3-15 record and seemed to be in danger of not playing in 2015 amid ownership rumors. But the Voodoo are back for 2015 and are looking to bounce back from last seasons disaster. Here is a look at how the Voodoo are shaping up for 2015:
Schedule:
Week 1 vs Jacksonville
Week 2 vs Cleveland
Week 3 vs Orlando
Week 4 at Tampa Bay
Week 5 vs Philadelphia
Week 6 vs Spokane
Week 7 vs Arizona
Week 8 at Cleveland
Week 9 vs Jacksonville
Week 10 at Tampa Bay
Week 11 at Philadelphia
Week 12 vs Cleveland
Week 13 bye week
Week 14 at Orlando
Week 15 bye week
Week 16 at San Jose
Week 17 vs Tampa Bay
Week 18 at Las Vegas
Week 19 at Philadelphia
Week 20 at Jacksonville
Offense: Adam Kennedy- starting quarterback
Larry Beavers- Wide Receiver
Kyler Reed- Wide Receiver
Defense: Matt Hardison- Defensive End
Greg Reed- Defensive Back
Season Outlook:
The Voodoo now play in the American East division with the Philadelphia Soul and the Cleveland Gladiators.
Obviously it’s going to be a tough task to make the playoffs in 2015. Quarterback Adam Kennedy seems to be the bright spot. He came on during mid season last year and seemed to be the quarterback the Voodoo need.
When it comes to the schedule; the Voodoo have 11 games this year against teams that made the playoffs last year; including 3 against division rivals Philadelphia and Cleveland. They also have the standard 3 against the reloaded Jacksonville Sharks; who signed QB Tommy Grady.
The Voodoo are going to see Jacksonville in week 1 as well, so its important for the Voodoo to make a statement at home. Overall New Orleans look like a team in rebuilding- but then again they said that last year about Cleveland and they went 19-1 and to the Arena Bowl! Anything is possible but the Voodoo are going to need to make some moves to be a playoff team in 2015.
Prediction: 4-14
