Kizer Wins Week 17 MVP Award
Kizer (5-10, 195, Walsh) led the KISS with seven tackles, one interception, one pass breakup, and a quarterback hurry in the team’s 37-27 victory over the Las Vegas Outlaws in Week 17. The four-time All-Arena defender has set a new single-season franchise record for interceptions with five in 2015 and now stands three tackles shy of 500 for his career at 10 tackles shy of the KISS franchise record of 64.5.
Fans had 24 hours to vote for the AFL MVP award on ArenaFootball.com. Kizer dominated the voting, earning 93.6 of the fan vote and beating out fellow candidates Cortez Stubbs of the New Orleans VooDoo and Mike McMillan of the Spokane Shock.
