Orlando Predators Press Release

ORLANDO – The Orlando Predators were active on the opening day of free agency, announcing the additions of four rookie players to its 2016 roster. The team has agreed to terms on contracts with offensive lineman Torrian Wilson, defensive lineman Cameron McLeod, and wide receivers Paul Browning and Brandan Green.

“We’re excited to start the process of building our roster and feel like this is the first step towards our ultimate goal of winning a championship in 2016,” said head coach Rob Keefe. “We’ve built our program on a foundation of players who are hungry and motivated. These four players certainly fit that model and I expect them to contribute to our team early and often.”

A local product from the University of Central Florida, Torrian Wilson (6-3, 315, Central Florida) started 42 games at left tackle for the Knights. As a senior in 2014, he earned second-team All-American Athletic Conference accolades and was honored as the team’s Outstanding Offensive Lineman during UCF’s annual awards banquet. Following his collegiate career, Wilson signed with the Detroit Lions as undrafted free agent this past offseason.

Paul Browning (6-3, 220, Colorado State-Pueblo) won the Division II National Championship as a senior at Colorado State-Pueblo. He played in 43 career games with the ThunderWolves and set school records with 2,507 receiving yards and 24 touchdowns on 152 receptions. Most recently, Browning participated in training camps with the Cleveland Browns and Carolina Panthers.

Brandan Green (5-10, 185, Grand Valley State) arrives in Orlando after attending 2015 training camp with the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League and was also invited to rookie minicamp with the New Orleans Saints in 2014. He earned first-team All-GLIAC honors during his senior season at Grand Valley State. Known for his big play ability, Green averaged an impressive 22.8 yards per catch as he hauled in 53 passes 1,210 yards and six scores for the Lakers in 2013.

Cameron McLeod (6-5, 295, Ohio) adds depth to a Predators defensive line that sent four players to the NFL over the past year. During his final two seasons at Ohio University, McLeod delivered 77 tackles with two sacks and six stops for losses for the Bobcats. He enters his first season in the AFL after participating in training camp with the Houston Texans in 2015.
