Phoenix, Ariz. – The five-time world champion Arizona Rattlers acquired kicker Nich Pertuit for the rest of the 2016 Arena Football League (AFL) season on Thursday. This will be his first season with the Rattlers, his sixth in the AFL.
Pertuit spent most of his AFL career with the San Jose SaberCats, where in 2014 he earned the AFL Kicker of the Year award for making 128 of 138 PATs and scoring on all nine of his field goal tries. Pertuit also spent one year with the Iowa Barnstormers (2011).
The 6-foot, 195-pounder attended Incarnate Word, where he was an all-American soccer player and three-year captain. He also achieved the top ranking in the nation and was nominated for the Cardinals’ Student-Athlete of the Year award.
The Billings, Montana native attended Billings Senior High School, where he was valedictorian and a two-time all-state and a state champion in soccer.
