CHICAGO — VICE Media announced a partnership with Arena Football One as the company rolls out its new prime-time sports broadcast.

The show, “Sunday Nights in the Arena,” will premiere every Sunday beginning March 16. VICE recently launched VICE Sports and officials say they plan to add AF1 games and highlights to its new programming schedule.

“Everyone at VICE TV is excited to add live AF1 action to our spring prime-time schedule,” Pete Gaffney, President of VICE TV, said in the December 16, 2024 release. “The addition of AF1 fits our goal to feature compelling, provocative, original programming that will resonate with and grow VICE TV’s already young audience.”

The announcement follows the league’s schedule announcement in November. Commissioner Jeff Fisher stated his team is working to update the game calendar and matchups to align with the Sunday night slot.

AF1 President of Business Operations Jared Widman also noted the partnership will be a great opportunity for future business partners as the league builds on its inaugural season.

“Having a consistent live Sunday night timeslot on VICE TV is a game-changer for our corporate partners,” Widman said. “The prime-time exposure will significantly enhance their brand visibility and ability to reach a wider audience.”
