Georgia Force QB launches GoFundMe after he says the team suspended its 2024 season

2 min read

ATLANTA — The Georgia Force is reportedly the latest team to suspend its season according to one of its quarterbacks.

QB Justin Arth shared on X Thursday, that the Force shut down and has yet to pay him and his teammates. The Arena Football League, which owns the Force, did not share or confirm any details behind the decision.

”I personally have spent money to make sure my teammates can eat and have run out of money that affects me going to another team out of state.” Arth said in a post thread.

The Force were scheduled to play all ten games on the road as it did not have a home venue secured. The team was slated to play the now defunct Iowa Rampage on May 9, but the franchise folded a week before the game and the Force were not given a replacement opponent.

Arth started a GoFundMe page to support players who are reportedly stranded and will need to find travel elsewhere. Arth said his teammates will need to be out the hotel by Saturday.

”I will do what I can to help them. But I am now a free agent looking for a new home. There is more I can say, but I would like to continue to be a professional in all senses.” Arth said on X.

The GoFundMe can be found through this link. Disclaimer: Arena Insider cannot verify if any of the funds raised through this GoFundMe will be used for the purposes listed.
